<rant> I'm going to take this opportunity to state that I used several referneces from Google and that, paired with the fact that Vasque is a very generic dragon, causes him to look very much alike to the other dragons out there. I'm going to say this once. ORIGINAL. I know that he's not the best dragon out there. I know that my anatomy may be off a bit. You may think 'Hey, he looks familiar?' and I'll say "That's because he's a dragon. There are MILLIONS out there! Of course a few are going to look alike!" Despite generic body, I worked hard on him, and despite the very generic and similar look to him, he is 100% bona fide original. He's my first dragon, so can you really blame me for being paranoid?

I was not looking for perfection when I created Vasque, and I know that he's not perfect. You do not need to tell me. I'm just posting this so you can meet him </rant>

Background:
Vasque was born in the year 2000, on the Antarctic ice flow that his mother and family loved on. Antarctic dragons grow and mature very quickly, so Vasque was hunting on his own in a matter of weeks. Shortly after he fledged, a scientific research squad from a pharmaceutical company called A.L.T.A. Corp. came across his family while they were hunting, and killed every last one of them, save Vasque. They drugged him and flew him back to ther headquarters, where they proceded to test new chemicals, medicines and drugs on the helpless young dragon. This brutal process continued for nearly a thousand years, when a doctor failed to notice that Vasque had developed a tolerance for his sedative, and Vasque broke free. Hungry and flying over an unfamiliar, advanced city, he was forced to land and hide among the mile-high skyscrapers. He eventually made his way out of the city unseen, but A.L.T.A was relentlessly hunting him down. They wanted their guinea pig back. Badly. Without a test subject, the company could not test new chemicals, and profit dropped. Vasque's location is currently unknown, and A.L.T.A is searching mercilessly for him.

Due to the thousand years spent as a test subject, Vasque has developed an immunity to any and all foreign chemical substances, including toxins and venoms.

Physical Characteristics:
Antarctic dragons feed mainly on seal, and as such, are very proficient swimmers. Their thick wing membranes allow them to swim at high speeds by 'flying' underwater. When hunting, Antarctic dragons hide on the underside of icebergs, using the barb on their tails to anchor themselves to the ice, while their colorless scales hide them perfectly.

Antarctic dragons also have extremely high internal body temperatures, which helpes keep them warm when hunting or swimming.

Their claws are constantly growing, like beaver's teeth, so the dragons keep them honed to razor sharpness by using ice chunks as whetstones to sharpen their claws.

Antarctic dragons are not very violent, until it comes to protecting their kin. Then they become VERY violent.

While they are dragons, Antarctic dragons do not have the ability to breathe fire.

Personality:
Because of his time in captivity, Vasque is somewhat of a socially akward being. Nevertheless, he is very friendly, and is always willing to try new things. He is very protective of his friends, and always supports them. Vasque is very alert, always watching for the next wave of A.L.T.A troopers to come and try to take him away

Abilities:
Vasque is a living, breathing character. This means that as his story unfolds within an rp, he will gain new abilities as he learns them.

Ghostflame: Vasque takes a deep breath, and exhales a jet of searing, super-heated air, burning anyhting and everything in its path to ashes. The cloud of ghostflame expelled is almost invisible, except for the violent rippling of the air due to the heat (think desert shimmer mirage).
