Creature - Helgrip

We passed through the rocky plain, and as we exited the hot, dry area, the ground leveled off and became much less rocky, to the pleasure of our sore feet. We made camp in a clearing in the sparse forest we entered, and before long we had a nice, warm fire going to fight off the darkening night's chill.

A low hum was the only warning before it came, leveling trees in it's path with it's huge jaws. It reared up, revealing an even more massive set, and roared, shaking the trees and putting our our fire in it's intensity.

The three of us sat up and drew our swords, groaning because out night had been ruined.

Helgrips are a third tier demon, which makes them moderately powerful. Their tough skin makes them very hard to wound, and they are very adept at close combat, due to their large mouths and pincers. They are also able to spew hellfire from all of their mouths, which makes them dangerous even at long range. Wounds inflicted by hellfire are extremely excruciating, and take longer to heal than normal.

Helgrips, while dangerous and violent, are not intelligent in the least. Though their mindless thirst for destruction makes them worthy adversaries, they are easily tricked, and therefore, easy to defeat, if a plan is devised.

This was a really fun idea to work with, and I may even make a list of demons all by themselves, because they're so cool!
